Our day started in this order.....
AJ apparently did not want to miss the bus for his trip so he did what all red-blooded 13 year old boys would do, he set his alarm. Set it for 3:30 am sharp, he did not have to leave until 4:40 so not sure what he needed 50 minutes for but glad he thought ahead. Anyway, Chris woke him up and all was well. What little AJ failed to do was to turn off the alarm so that 26 hours after he left we would not be reminded of him at 3:30 am! I woke up to Connor screaming "MOM!!!!" Thinking it was a bad dream or vomit I went running up the stairs. There stood Connor wearing only his boxers and his angry eyes pointing at AJs door. By that time my ears were bleeding because the alarm was so loud. Was this AJs gift for April Fools???

So because of that we have been highly Starbucks dependant today. Two Venti's before 3 pm.
On a more positive note, AJ is texting on a regular basis. He seems to be having fun. I will wait for him to come back to share the details of his day, I will share that his last text of the night was "they are taping our doors shut, I am not even kidding!" Those teachers have done this before and they are smart! Too bad Papa did not know that trick, he could have caught us sneaking out - or in Liz's case sneaking back in. Liz, did I portray that correctly??
I cannot confirm nor deny... for the record I ordered 2 Venti triple shot CM's the last two days when I rolled into Starbucks at 7:30 I just nuke the second one. Of course I am dragging a bit right now so I am on Diet Mt Dew #2.

lol...it was his little way of telling his family that he loves and misses you while he is not there with you all! Awww....AJ is a very sweet and thoughtful boy.
ReplyDeleteAllright AJ!! Way to annoy your brother long distance. I'm not sure that Maria realizes that HotLanta didn't get it's name due to it's weather. Have fun AJ. By the way taping the doors was a trick used by teachers when I was in school. We found a way around it. I'm sure you will too. I wish I could get the complete report of your trip, and not the one you will post on the blog knowing that your parents will be reading it.
ReplyDeleteToday is a great day in the history of my life as Sylvester Stallone said in "Rocky". My Keurig arrived today. Combined with the bags of coffee that Mom found at 7-11 it is awesome. I'm glad I bought the attachment that allows you to use ground coffee instead of the K-cups. I now have cup after cup of fresh authentic 7-11 coffee. I may be up most of tonight and well into the morning if anyone feels like calling just to talk. Mom can have all the K-cup teas, flavored coffees, and Hot Chocalate as long as I have my 7-11 coffee. Oh Thank Heaven for 7-11, and up your Starbucks.
Has anyone seen those soda fountains like they have at 7-11 online? I also need one of those wall refrigerators with the glass doors for my 7-11 burritos and breakfeast biscuits with sausage and egg. I allready have the Microwave. Oh one of those metal racks that they keep chips, popcorn, pretzels, and Salsa Verde Doritos on would also be nice.
Hey, we are all over it Papa. Your birthday is right around the corners. Chips and pretzels are definately something I can afford, I will take those. My sisters can split the wall refrigerator. (ha ha) Nice going AJ. If you were trying to annoy your brother, it worked!! Congratulations. I do not know how you girls drink so much caffine. I would literally be up all night!!
